The Bridge

Chakotay: "They should be back soon."

Kathryn: "Should we move to the Briefing Room?" I asked.

Chakotay: "That's a good idea," I answered.

Tom: I stepped out of the turbolift as well. The Captain and Chakotay were both gone.

Harry: I turned to look at Tom, "Tom. I'm guessing you're looking for the Captain. They both went into the Briefing Room," I turned my attention to the person Tom was with. I didn't know her either.

B'Elanna: I nodded. "We should go in there. Thanks Harry,"

Kathryn: I exited onto the Bridge. "On screen, Mister Kim," I said, as I crossed to sit. As soon as the ship appeared on screen, I looked around. "Anyone?"

B'Elanna: I frowned and looked at Chakotay. "This doesn't make any sense Commander. We were out of Kazon Space four, almost five years ago!"

Chakotay: I looked at the ship, "It's possible they have still been following us. But there is no reason that we didn't pick the ship up on our sensors earlier."

Kathryn: "Should we hail them? If so, Chakotay, you should do the talking...."

Chakotay: "We might as well see what they want..."

Kathryn: I nodded. "Hail them, Mister Kim,"

Harry: I nodded and pressed a few buttons, "No response, Captain."

Kathryn: "It doesn't seem they're very talkative at the moment, are they?" I sighed. "Keep trying, Ensign."

Harry: I pressed a few more buttons. "They're hailing us, Captain."

Kathryn: I took a deep breath and nodded. "On screen,"

Harry: I moved the hail transmission onto the screen.

Kulluh: "USS Voyager. It has been many years since we have encountered you...."

Chakotay: "Yes. You are far from your area of space. What are you doing here?" I asked, hostility evident in my voice.

Kulluh: "Traveling through. Is this now illegal? I'm sure you still consider yourselves almighty..."

Chakotay: "In my defense, you were following us the last time that we met. It seemed reasonable that you were still on our trail."

Kulluh: I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "Following you? No, I'm afraid you've forgotten our last encounter..."

Chakotay: "Forgotten our last encounter? No, I remember it well, Culluh. I remember you commandeering Voyager. The last time I saw you was when you took Voyager back into space after leaving us stranded on Hanon IV. But your triumphant moment didn't last long, did it? Because we have Voyager, and you have your Kazon ship. It seems far too likely that you are simply 'traveling through'. So far from home, and so close to Voyager?" I paused and glanced at the Captain. "If you are just traveling through, then feel free to continue. But if you are following us, we will strike back."

Tom: I sat at my console, prepared to use evasive maneuvers if the Kazon decided to attack. I turned to look at B'Elanna. I gestured for her to come over next to me. Once she had, I whispered, "Seska. If she happens to come onto the Bridge right now.... As unlikely as it is.... It could alter the past as well as the future."

Cavit: I watched Chakotay carefully, wondering where the conversation would lead.

Kathryn: I sat, watching.

Kulluh: "No... we are not just passing through, as you put it. We have met with... others who have encountered you, and are not happy with how you treated them. A mighty alliance. You will regret the day you recaptured Voyager,"

B'Elanna: I nodded. "That's true. But does she have reason to come up here?" I whispered back. "I mean, as far as she knows, she's the only Maquis on-board."

Chakotay: "Who have you met with? If we mistreated them, it was because they showed hostility toward us first."

Tom: "There's always the off-chance. But you're right, she doesn't have a reason to come here."

Kulluh: "We started nothing. You were openly hostile to us. From what we have heard from the Hirogen as well as the Viidians, you acted the same towards them,"

B'Elanna: I shook my head. "Well, we can hope she doesn't show up."

Chakotay: "They were just as hostile toward us. And you showed us the same hostility as well."

Tom: "Yes, let's do that."
