Main Engineering

Engineering, or main engineering is the location from which the ship's main power systems are controlled. Engineering is the primary assignment of engineers and chief engineers.

B'Elanna: I exited the turbolift behind everyone else and sighed, looking around. There weren't many people here...

Joe: "Hello Commander, er... everyone else. Lieutenant Torres, I thought you were going back to your quarters. The Captain said all of us had the next few days off..." I said trailing off when I realized I recognized all of the people in the group, and one of them was supposed to be dead.

B'Elanna: I rolled my eyes and walked to my station. "You know better than anyone that no-one, especially the Chief Engineer, gets a day off, let alone a week, on Voyager, Lieutenant Carey."

Cavitt: I sighed, "Show me the mission logs."

B'Elanna: I gritted my teeth and spun around. "I'm bringing them up." I looked at Chakotay. "Any in particular we should show him?" I asked.

Chakotay: I thought about it, "No, just show him various logs that span across our time in the Delta Quadrant."

B'Elanna: I nodded, and began searching. "All right, it's set to give a brief overview of our more.... interesting missions. The ones you'd be more inclined to believe," I said finally.

Cavitt: I nodded and began looking over the logs, "Very...interesting."

B'Elanna: "Interesting isn't exactly a word I'd use...." I sighed. "But is that enough proof? Or do we need to show you the Astrometrics Lab or something?"

Cavitt: "No, I think this is enough...." I muttered.

B'Elanna: "So.... now what?" I asked, folding my arms.

Cavitt: "We should return to the Bridge."

Joe: "Any instructions on how to proceed here, Lieutenant?" I asked.

B'Elanna: I shook my head. "Just.... make sure everything is operating correctly, and that the warp core is functioning normally after the refit. I'll give you more orders as I get more information on what's happening,"

Joe: I nodded. "Understood,"

B'Elanna: "And get Vorik to help if you need it," I added, walking back to the turbolift, waiting for the others.

Tom: I stepped out of the turbolift at Main Engineering with both B'Elanna and Cavitt.

Cavitt: "Mister Carey, would you come with me? I need your assistance, and I will explain on our way to Sick Bay."

Joe: I nodded, and walked over to him. "Yes sir,"

B'Elanna: I looked at Tom. "All right, everyone should be here within a few minutes. I'd rather wait until we have as many as we think we're going to get, so we don't have to go over things twice."

Cavitt: I walked out of engineering and back into the turbolift.

Tom: "I don't want to explain things twice," I agreed.

B'Elanna: "That's what I just said, Tom," I sighed, rolling my eyes.

Tom: "I know. I was giving you my opinion, and I don't want to explain things twice."

B'Elanna: "Of course. You really didn't have to state your opinion if it was going to just be the same as mine, you know?"

Tom: "Believe me, I know," I said as I looked around to see how many people were here so far.

B'Elanna: I rolled my eyes. "Not in the mood right now, Tom,"

Tom: I nodded, "It looks like everyone is here now."

B'Elanna: I nodded. "It looks like it," I stepped forward. "Okay. Everyone, I need your attention. I know this might not make sense, but I'd like each of you, one by one, to tell me if you've been the the Delta Quadrant before, all right?" I looked at Tom. "You take half, I'll take half," I walked over to Vorik at one end of the line. "Ensign?" I asked.

Tom: I nodded before going to take my half.

Vorik: "The Delta Quadrant? No. Who are you?"

B'Elanna: I sighed. "Long story. Thank you," I nodded, before moving on, and making a note on my PADD.

Tom: I continued with my 'half'. Most of the crew in Engineering were from the Delta Quadrant Voyager. At least all of the crew I had asked were. The next person was Seska. I walked up to her. "I''m assuming you aren't from the Delta Quadrant."
