Chakotay's Quarters

Chakotay: I stood up a few minutes later and went to the Bridge.

Chakotay: I walked into my quarters and pressed my com-badge, "B'Elanna, come to my quarters immediately."

B'Elanna: "All right," I replied, walking to his quarters, and waiting outside.

Chakotay: "Come in, B'Elanna," I sighed.

B'Elanna: I walked inside and folded my arms. "I thought you wanted me to sleep..."

Chakotay: "I decided that I needed to talk to you."

B'Elanna: "O...kay... about what?"

Chakotay: "About Tom, and about what happened earlier today."

B'Elanna: I sighed and walked to sit down. "What about it?"

Chakotay: "You told me that Tom is...impossible to talk to. That he won't have a civil conversation with you."

B'Elanna: "That about sums it up, yeah."

Chakotay: "I think he's willing to talk to you...civilly. If you won't rip his heart out and feed it to the next Species 8472 you see wandering around the Delta Quadrant."

B'Elanna: "Yeah.... I'm sure he is," I rolled my eyes. "I doubt that."

Chakotay: "If he wouldn't talk to you in the first place, but is now willing to, wouldn't you like the chance to sort things out with him?"

B'Elanna: "I guess so, yes... but do you think he really wants to talk?"

Chakotay: "The only way to find out is by trying."

B'Elanna: "Yeah. But what do I do if he doesn't listen?!"

Chakotay: "Be patient and give him more time to cool down if he doesn't listen."

B'Elanna: I nodded. "Okay. I guess you're right,"

Chakotay: I nodded, "Good. Let me know what happens."

B'Elanna: "I will. And.... Thank you, Chakotay,"

Chakotay: "You're welcome," I said.

Chakotay: I stood up and walked to the Bridge.
